StormwateRx LLC (pronounced Stormwater Rx) designs, manufactures, installs and maintains stormwater filtration and treatment systems for industrial customers. Our systems are designed specifically to help operating industrial sites comply with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Industrial and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) Stormwater Permit requirements. Our field sales staff and engineers help owners and consultants select the best BMP or combination of BMPs, and provide design integration assistance to meet customer objectives.
We specialize in retrofitting existing industrial sites with effective and affordable stormwater controls. Our forward-looking engineers are skilled in the design of treatment systems that provide for industrial stormwater reuse and pretreatment to infiltration, earning our tagline of Reclaiming the World’s Water®.
The company was founded in 2006 in Portland, Oregon, building on decades of collective staff experience designing, manufacturing and consulting on stormwater and other water purification and treatment needs of industry. StormwateRx was founded under the belief that the manufacturing and industrial sectors are critical elements of the U.S. and world economies and that a high standard of living depends on ensuring a livable environment for its workers and their families. StormwateRx BMPs assure a livable environment by cleaning stormwater runoff and protecting our waterways and water resources.

You can be confident that the design and sizing of your BMPs meet the requirements of Best Available Technology (BAT) and Best Conventional Pollution Control Technology (BCT), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) industrial and municipal stormwater permit requirements, the Use Level Designation for applications in Washington and similar standards in other states.

Canal Boatyard has always been known as one of the cleanest facilities on the waterfront. We are proud to be at the forefront of the effort to keep runoff pollution to a minimum. The 2009 installation of the StormwateRx system filters runoff water from the entire yard; ensuring contaminants don’t make it into the waterway.
After years of struggling to stay below permit benchmarks, despite consistent effort and all the right BMPs, we didn’t quite believe StormwateRx was going to get us there — until we saw our first sampling results.
